As the son of an airline pilot and private pilot himself, Dave Goodwin has a lifetime of aviation experience covering almost every aspect of the business. As a teenager, he worked at the airport in the family aviation business. After growing up “at the airport” then earning B.S. Economics/Finance, Dave started his professional career working for a small air charter company in Nashua, NH. Later, after working as Sales Operations Manager at the Trump Shuttle (the Eastern Airlines Shuttle successor) he worked at Virgin Atlantic Airways and as a national sales manager for an US-based international tour operator.

In 2010 Dave launched a YouTube channel that featured a behind the scenes look into general aviation. 2012 brought a blog, a podcast, and aviation classified ads along with a logo designed to be both eye catching and a hat-tip to the nose art that adorned airplanes of earlier generations. The new site was officially named PlaneViz, from “airplane visibility” associated with an aircraft classified ad listing.

PlaneViz shed the classifieds but continued to grow over the next few years with a blog and podcast. Popular airline pilot and author Karlene Petitt joined us for a fascinating podcast interview about her journey as a pilot and writer. Our Northeast Airlines page became a resource on the Delta Air Lines Museum site (Delta bought Northeast in 1972). Other popular stories included building your own airplane, flying a small plane in New York City, and the cost of aircraft ownership.

In 2017 we continue the PlaneViz journey with the addition of private air charter brokerage. We look forward providing the best possible service and private air charter arrangements to our customers.
